# Organize your boards and futures

A **board** groups futures for a shared purpose. **All Futures** holds your saved futures, including ones that are not on a board.

The same future can belong to more than one board. Editing that future changes the shared item. Deleting it is different from taking it off one board.

<a id="find-your-futures"></a>

## Find your futures

1. Open **Boards**.
2. Tap **All Futures**.
3. Choose **All Futures** to see everything, or **Not in a Board** to find futures without a board.
4. Tap a future to open it.

Opening a future from All Futures does not start playback automatically.

<a id="filter-your-futures"></a>

## Filter your futures

1. Open **Boards > All Futures**.
2. Tap the **filter icon**, shown as lines in a circle.
3. Choose a board, a **Daily Ritual** status, or a **Voice** status.
4. Tap **Done**.

**Has Audio** finds futures with a voice clip. **Needs Audio** finds ones without one. **In Ritual** and **Not in Ritual** refer to your daily practice selection.

If no futures appear, reopen the filter and choose **All** in the relevant sections.

1. Open the destination board.
2. Tap **+**, or **Add Futures** on an empty board.
3. Tap **Add from library**.
4. Select the futures you want.
5. Tap the **Add** button, which includes your selected count.

Only futures you can add are shown. If the option is absent, there may be no other saved futures to add.

## Put a future on more than one board

A future can belong to several boards. In the **Add to Boards** picker, changes happen when you tap a board.

- An empty circle means the future is not on that board. Tap it to add the future.
- A checkmark means it is already there. Tap it to remove the future from that board.
- With several futures selected, a minus means only some are already there. Tap it to add the missing ones. A checkmark means all are there, so tapping removes all the selected futures from that board.

1. Open **Boards > All Futures**.
2. Press and hold a future.
3. Tap **Add to Boards...**.
4. Check the circles beside the boards. Tap a board only if you want to change whether it contains the future.
5. Tap **Done** to close the picker.

You can also open **Edit Future > More > Boards**. Choose the boards, return to the editor, and tap its top-right **checkmark** to save.

To change boards for several futures together, tap **Select** in All Futures. Select the futures, then tap the **stacked cards with a plus** in the bottom bar. Check each board's circle before tapping it. Changes happen right away. Tap **Done** to close the picker.

## Pin boards

A pin keeps a board easy to reach. It does not choose your daily ritual.

1. Open **Boards**.
2. Press and hold a board.
3. Tap **Pin Board**.

Use **Unpin Board** to remove the pin. The board stays saved. You can also use the board's pin icon or its three-dot menu.

<a id="change-board-order"></a>

## Change board order

1. Open **Boards**.
2. Tap the **three dots > Reorder Boards**.
3. Drag the boards into the order you want.
4. Tap **Done**.

You can also press and hold a board and choose **Reorder Boards**.

<a id="change-several-boards"></a>

## Change several boards

1. Open **Boards**.
2. Tap the **three dots > Select Boards**.
3. Tap each board you want to change. Use **All** to select them together.
4. Use the **pin**, **crossed-out pin**, or **trash** control at the bottom.
5. Read any deletion choice before confirming it.
6. Tap **Done** when you finish.

<a id="filter-a-board"></a>

## Filter a board

1. Open the board.
2. Tap the **three dots > Filter**.
3. Choose the filters you want.
4. Tap **Done**.

**Loop Status** means whether a future is included when you play that board. **In Loop** is included. **Paused** is left out. The future stays saved.

Use **All** to clear a filter. A filter changes the view, not the saved futures.

<a id="change-future-order"></a>

## Change future order

1. Open the board.
2. Clear any filters first.
3. Tap the **three dots > Reorder**.
4. Drag the futures into the order you want.
5. Tap **Done**.

Reorder appears when the active board has more than one future.

<a id="choose-the-board-cover"></a>

## Choose the board cover

The board cover is a **collage**: four small images or text cards shown together.

1. Open the board.
2. Tap the **three dots > Customize Collage**.
3. Tap a cell in the cover.
4. Choose the future you want in that cell. Or choose **Automatic** to let the cell follow your board's order.
5. Repeat for other cells.
6. Close the cover editor when finished.

Only futures included in the board's loop can fill the cover. If a future is paused, add it back to the loop first.

You can also press and hold an included future, choose **Customize Collage**, then tap the cell where it should appear.

<a id="remove-a-future-from-a-board"></a>

## Remove a future from a board

This keeps the future in All Futures and on any other boards that use it.

1. Open the board.
2. Press and hold the future.
3. Choose **Remove from Board**.
4. Confirm if asked.

For several futures, open the board's **three dots > Select**. Select the futures, tap the **minus in a circle**, and confirm. **All** selects the futures in the current filtered view.

<a id="delete-a-future"></a>

## Delete a future

Deleting a future removes it from normal use across the app, including its other boards. It moves to Recently Deleted for 30 days.

1. Press and hold the future in a board or All Futures.
2. Tap **Delete Future**.
3. Read the confirmation and tap **Delete**.

For several futures, use **Select**, choose them, then tap the **trash** icon. The same deletion consequence applies.

Use the **Undo** message if you deleted the wrong future. For later recovery, see [Recently Deleted](https://futurecastapp.com/help/account-deleted).

<a id="remove-a-board-or-its-futures"></a>

## Remove a board or its futures

Read the choice carefully. A future can also be on another board.

1. Open **Boards**.
2. Press and hold the board.
3. Tap **Delete Board**.
4. Choose one:
   - **Delete Board Only:** Keep its futures in All Futures.
   - **Delete Board and Futures:** Move the board and its futures to Recently Deleted. Those futures also leave their other boards.

Recently Deleted keeps these items for 30 days. Restoring a board does not by itself restore futures that were also deleted. [Restore the items you need](https://futurecastapp.com/help/account-deleted).

<a id="when-a-board-is-paused"></a>

## When a board is paused

If your free plan supports fewer active boards than you have saved, the extra boards stay saved and paused. You can choose which boards are active.

1. Open **Boards**.
2. Tap the **three dots > Choose Active Boards**.
3. Select the number of boards shown on screen. Deselect one first if you need to swap it.
4. Confirm your choice with the button at the bottom.

You can also open a paused board and choose **three dots > Activate this board**.

A paused board may ask you to change your active selection or view Plus before you can play it or add futures. Pausing is not deletion.
