# Understand your practice progress

Futurecast records the practice you return to. These numbers describe activity in the app. They are not a measure of how close you are to a goal.

## See progress

1. Open **Today**.
2. Tap the practice count at the top.

You can also open **Profile** and tap **This week** above the row of stars. The row shows your count out of 7 and opens **Consistency**.

The **Consistency** screen shows this week's stars, a **Lifetime** grid with **Futures practiced**, **Practice days**, and **Practice time**, and a history grid. Futurecast+ members also see the **Bonus Visions** total in **Lifetime**. The cell reads **Earn your first** at zero and **Bonus Vision** at one.

## Stars and time

Practice for a total of 60 seconds in a day to earn that day's star. Short sessions can add up. Reading in the player and intentional listening can count toward practice time.

The week runs from Monday to Sunday. Each star belongs to one day.

**Practice days** counts days that qualified. **Practice time** shows accumulated time. Reading and listening at the same time do not count as double the time.

When you finish a session, give the progress screen a moment to update.

## Practice count

**Futures practiced** counts recorded practice moments. It does not count only different futures.

Reading a future long enough in the player can count. Finishing a spoken playback can also count. Returning to the same future can add more practice moments.

For example, you can practice one saved future several times. Your practice count can grow while the number of futures in your library stays the same.

**Intensity** shows how much recorded practice happened on each day. It is separate from the 60-second rule for a weekly star.

## Bonus Vision

With Futurecast+, the line below this week's stars tells you when to practice for a bonus Vision. If you missed a day, it points to next week. After seven stars, it confirms your practice, then shows when the bonus is earned for next week.

One bonus **Vision** lets you create or edit one AI image for a future.

Earn a star on all 7 days of the week to earn one bonus Vision for the following week's balance. When the line below the stars includes gold **bonus Vision**, tap it for the explanation. You can always tap the bonus cell under **Lifetime**, whatever its label.

The **Bonus Visions** total counts the weekly bonuses you have earned. Futurecast's server supplies the count. The count started on September 28, 2026. Bonuses earned before then are not included.

If the reward is not shown as earned yet, check the status in the app. A local row of stars and a confirmed reward are separate updates.

## Starter rewards

Some accounts have starter rewards for early practice and board creation. An earned reward adds one Vision for an AI image action.

When these rewards apply, the milestones are:

- Your first qualifying practice day.
- Creating a board after first setup. The app describes this as your second board.
- Your third qualifying practice day. These days do not have to be in a row.

Each reward can be earned once. A **Vision earned!** message confirms an award. These starter rewards are separate from the weekly Plus bonus.

An older account may have received a different starter offer. Use the rewards and balance shown in your app.

## Invitation to add another board

After early practice, Futurecast may invite you to make another board. It can show **+1 Vision** for the second-board milestone.

Tap **Add another board** to open board creation. Tap **Not now** to leave the invitation. The reward belongs to completing an eligible milestone, not tapping the invitation.

You can create a board later from **Boards > New Board**. [Learn how to make a board](https://futurecastapp.com/help/create-boards).

## Save practice time to Apple Health

**Mindful Minutes** lets Futurecast save eligible board practice time in Apple Health. It is off until you choose to turn it on.

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Find **Daily Practice**.
3. Turn on **Mindful Minutes**.
4. Allow Futurecast to save mindful activity when Apple Health asks.
5. Practice a board and finish the session.

This covers eligible board practice. It does not mean every moment with Futurecast open is saved to Health.

Futurecast asks to write this activity. It does not ask to read your Health data.

To stop future saves, turn **Mindful Minutes** off in Futurecast. This does not remove sessions already saved in Health.

If permission was denied, open the **Health** app. Tap your profile picture, then **Apps** under **Privacy**. Select **Futurecast** and review its permissions. Return to Futurecast and turn **Mindful Minutes** on. Apple's [Health data guide](https://support.apple.com/en-us/108779) explains these controls.

If Futurecast shows **Apple Health Unavailable**, this iPhone cannot currently save those sessions. You can still practice in Futurecast.
