# Repeat futures and add quiet pauses

You can replay a whole board, stay on one future, or repeat each future a set number of times.

A **board** is a group of futures. A **future** is one statement. **Reps** means repetitions: how many times the same future plays before the next one.

## Repeat a future or board

1. Open the full player.
2. Tap the repeat-arrows button near the bottom left.
3. In **Loop Options**, choose a mode.
4. Tap **Done**.

| Mode | Result |
|---|---|
| **Off** | Play through the board once |
| **One** | Keep replaying the current future |
| **All** | Restart the board after its last future |

**Off** turns off the repeating of the whole board. Your **Reps per Future** choice still applies.

You can also change **Repeat** in the mini player's three-dot menu under **Playback Options**.

## Reps

1. Open **Loop Options**.
2. Choose **Off** or **All**.
3. Use the minus or plus control under **Reps per Future**.
4. Tap **Done**.

For example, choose 3 reps to play the first future three times, then the second three times, and so on.

Free access allows up to 2 reps per future. Futurecast+ allows higher counts, up to 100. Choosing a paid option can open an upgrade offer.

The reps control is unavailable in **One** mode because that future already repeats without an end.

## Quiet pauses

**Reflect** adds a quiet pause after spoken futures. This gives you time to sit with the words before listening again.

1. In the full player, tap the hourglass.
2. In **Reflect**, scroll to the pause length you want.
3. Choose where the pause should happen under **Pause after each**.
4. Tap **Done**.

Free access includes pauses up to 5 seconds. Futurecast+ includes longer choices, up to 5 minutes. Choose **Off** to remove these pauses.

You can also open **Reflect** from the mini player's **Playback Options**.

## Set and +Rep

These two labels decide where a pause belongs when a future repeats:

- **Set:** play all the repetitions of one future, then pause.
- **+Rep:** pause after every repetition of that future.

For example, with 3 reps and a 5-second pause:

- **Set:** hear the same future three times, then pause for 5 seconds.
- **+Rep:** hear it once, pause for 5 seconds, and repeat that pattern three times.

Long pauses with many reps can make a session much longer.

## Skip one pause

Tap the current future while its reflection pause is running. This ends that pause and moves playback on.

This does not change your saved pause setting.
