# Words used in Futurecast You do not need to learn this list before using the app. Look up a word when you need it. | Word | What it means | |---|---| | Future | A short statement you save and practice. It can include an image and voice audio. | | Board | A group of futures, often about one part of your life. | | Board intention | A description of what you want a board to be about. It helps Futurecast suggest new futures for that board. | | Writing style | The way you want new suggested futures to sound. | | Practice | Time spent viewing or listening to your futures. | | Daily ritual | The set of futures you choose for daily practice. | | Custom Ritual | A daily ritual made from individual futures you choose. | | Focused on | The board or custom set your daily ritual is using. | | Text card | A future shown with its words as the main part of the card. An image is not required. | | Vision | An image for a future. In your Visions balance, it also means one unit of allowance used to create or edit an AI image. | | Visions balance | Your allowance for making or changing images with AI. AI means artificial intelligence. | | Vision Pack | A one-time purchase that adds to your image allowance. | | Futurecast+ | Futurecast's paid membership. The purchase screen explains the current plan and what it includes. | | Voice recording | Audio you record yourself. | | Voice Clone | An AI version of your voice, made from a sample you record. Futurecast can use it to read new futures aloud. | | My Likeness | The part of Profile for your reference images and voice settings. Likeness means how you look or sound. | | Reference Images | Photos of you that help guide AI images. These are different from images already saved on futures. | | People & Pets | Saved people or pets you can choose for an AI image. | | Featuring | The choice of who should appear in an AI image. | | Reflect | A quiet pause during practice. | | Reps | Repetitions. How many times a future's voice plays before moving on. | | Loop | The futures included when you play a board. **Add to Loop** includes a future. **Pause from Loop** leaves it out without deleting it. In playback settings, looping means playing again. | | Repeat | Play a future or group again. This changes playback, not which boards contain the future. | | Ambient sound | Background sound, such as music or nature sounds. | | Audio Focus | How Futurecast's audio works alongside sound from other apps. | | Mini player | The small playback bar near the bottom of the app. | | Pinned board | A board marked for easier access. Pinning it does not choose your daily ritual. | | Collage | The small group of images or text cards that forms a board's cover. | | Declaration | Your future's words. You may see this term when saving an image with the words included. | | Recently Deleted | A place to recover deleted futures and boards before they are removed for good. | | Backup | A saved file containing a copy of your Futurecast data and the media included in that export. | | iCloud Sync | Keeping Futurecast content up to date across devices through Apple's iCloud service. | | Restore Purchases | Ask Apple and Futurecast to check a past purchase. This is different from importing your library from a backup. | | Account ID | The identifier support can use to find your Futurecast account. It is not a password or an email sign-in. | | Connected Agents | Outside AI assistants you have given permission to access Futurecast. You choose their access and can disconnect them. | | Connector | A connection that lets an AI assistant work with another app. Some services call it an app or plugin. | | MCP | The standard an assistant uses to find and use Futurecast's tools. | | CLI | Command-line interface. A tool you control by typing commands on your computer. | | Queued | A requested change is waiting for your phone to apply it. | | Daily cut or your cut | A selected set of futures on the website.
