Futurecast is designed to help you build a personal visualization habit while collecting the minimum needed to run the app reliably.
We do not run ads and we do not sell your personal data.
What you create in Futurecast
Futurecast content can include your goals, affirmations, generated images, reference photos, boards, voice recordings, and generated voice audio.
That content is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, it is synced through your own iCloud account.
How AI features work
When you choose to use an AI feature, Futurecast sends only the content needed for that request. That can include the goal text you typed, edit instructions, the current image, and any reference photos you selected.
We use third-party service providers for AI features, hosting, analytics, payments, and operational services. We may add, remove, or change providers from time to time. The current list of subprocessors is available at https://futurecastapp.com/subprocessors.
Futurecast only sends this data after you take an explicit action like Generate, Edit, Polish, or Suggest. If you do not use these features, that AI request data is not sent.
Cloned voice setup is available only to users who are at least 18 years old. Before recording, Futurecast asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older and that the voice is your own, and it records that confirmation with your consent.
If you choose to set up cloned voice, Futurecast sends your short voice sample through Futurecast backend infrastructure to create your reusable Futurecast voice. Futurecast stores consent records and sample metadata like duration, file type, language, and byte count, but it does not store the raw voice sample in the backend database.
When cloned voice audio is generated, Futurecast sends the affirmation text needed for that audio request to create the audio. The generated audio bytes are returned to the app. If the audio is saved, it is stored on your device and, if iCloud Sync is on, through your own iCloud account. Futurecast backend job records store metadata such as request status, text hash, character count, credit usage, and provider request status; they do not store generated audio bytes or raw affirmation text.
Manual voice recordings are stored on your device and, if iCloud Sync is on, through your own iCloud account. They are not sent to a cloned voice provider unless you explicitly use a recording as the sample for cloned voice setup.
You control cloned voice automation. Futurecast only creates cloned voice audio when you request it or when you turn on profile or board automation controls. Deleting your voice clone stops new cloned voice generation and asks the provider to delete the provider-side clone. Existing generated voice audio already saved on futures can remain or be removed separately in the app. Manual recordings stay separate.
To keep requests reliable and safely handle duplicate request IDs, automated replay systems can retain processing data for up to 24 hours before it expires automatically.
To improve variety when you generate the same goal again, Futurecast can also keep a limited history of successful image scene prompts and derived similarity vectors. This scene-memory data is used only inside Futurecast for app functionality and product personalization. It is not used for advertising and it is not sold. It is capped to up to the 50 most recent successful prompts for the same goal and automatically expires after up to 90 days.
Futurecast does not manually review your prompts, goals, reference photos, or generated images as part of normal app operations.
Connected AI agents (optional)
You can connect an AI agent like Claude to Futurecast. Nothing is shared until you approve the connection in the app and choose what that agent can do: view your futures, make changes, or spend vision credits. You can disconnect any agent at any time in Profile > Connected Agents.
While at least one agent is connected, Futurecast keeps a content catalog on Futurecast backend infrastructure so agents can answer questions without waking your phone. The catalog contains board titles and intentions, the goal and affirmation text of your futures, which boards each future belongs to, pinned and Daily Ritual status, and small preview thumbnails of vision images.
The catalog never contains full-resolution images, original or reference photos, voice recordings, generated voice audio, or drafts.
You can hide any board from agents in that board's settings. Hidden boards, and every future on them, are left out of the catalog entirely. Agents cannot see or change them, and hiding a board removes anything already synced.
Changes an agent requests are stored as pending commands until your phone applies them, and recent agent actions are kept so you can review them in the app. Agents can never permanently delete your content. Anything an agent deletes moves to Recently Deleted, where you can restore it for 30 days.
When you disconnect your last connected agent, the entire catalog, including thumbnails, is deleted from Futurecast backend infrastructure.
Optional analytics
If you leave Share Usage Stats turned on, Futurecast sends pseudonymous usage analytics so we can improve the product.
If you turn that setting off, analytics collection is disabled for that install.
Analytics and reliability logs use metadata, not raw voice samples, generated audio, provider voice IDs, provider audio URLs, or raw provider payloads.
When you visit futurecastapp.com, the site asks before loading optional website analytics. If you allow them, Google Analytics and PostHog can receive pseudonymous page and interaction data such as the page you visited, browser and device details, and app-link clicks.
Website analytics never receive your goals, futures, images, voice content, or email address. You can change your choice from Analytics Settings in the site footer.
Apple Health
If you turn on Mindful Minutes, Futurecast can save eligible board practice sessions to Apple Health as mindful practice.
Futurecast only writes these entries after you opt in. It does not read your Health data, and Health-specific details are not sent to Futurecast analytics or backend services.
Crash and reliability diagnostics
Futurecast uses crash and performance diagnostics so we can keep the app stable.
That can include app version, device and OS details, crash traces, and timing or performance signals. Futurecast config sets sendDefaultPii to false.
Bug reports
If in-app bug reporting is available in your version of Futurecast and you choose to submit a report, your report text and any screenshot you include are sent to our diagnostics provider so we can investigate the issue.
Feature requests and feedback
If you choose to submit a feature request or vote/comment on feedback from inside Futurecast, that feedback is processed by our feedback provider. This can include the text you submit, votes or comments, your Futurecast account ID, and optional contact information if you choose to provide it in the feedback flow.
Your controls
Inside the app, you can turn Share Usage Stats on or off, turn Mindful Minutes for Apple Health on or off, turn iCloud Sync on or off, set up, replace, or delete a cloned voice, turn cloned voice automation on or off, remove generated voice audio from futures separately from manual recordings, connect or disconnect AI agents and choose what each one can access, hide any board from agents, export your data, import a backup, and delete local content.
